MY RESUME APPROACH
In addition to creating a tailored career profile that includes the right keywords, I like to create a backstory to frame your experience and your achievements. That is what we collaborate on: Your experience. Your backstory. Your achievements. I take care of the design, wording, and strategy.
Resume writing requires critical thinking and lots of creativity in terms of how the information should flow, what the messaging should be, and how the resume should be designed – from modest to modern. I take many things into consideration that influence the resume strategy, such as the business environments you’ve worked in and/or are targeting. For example, startup ventures, high-growth companies, and brick ‘n clicks.
Moreover, I shape your brand to put you in a certain light. For example, are you a turnaround strategist? Maybe you are an industry trailblazer who has taken risks to drive the success of new business ventures. These “X factors” will grab and hold a reader’s attention and encourage them to call you.
REFUND POLICY
You can request a refund if I have not completed your resume yet. Your order will be converted to a credit that you can use at a later time or transfer it to someone who qualifies for the same or higher price point. If a higher price point, they will be required to pay the difference.
Many hours and consultation goes into the process. I trust that you hired me because you were referred or have done your research on my services e.g. resume samples and credentials. When considering the extensive hands-on process that has a value in and of itself, coupled with an intense resume development process that reflects our shared vision for your resume and the information that you provided me, a monetary refund is not offered.
However, because I stand behind my work and value our professional relationship, I will work with you to understand what it is that you would like to see changed. You will have 30 days to work with me on changes. As this is more than ample time for edits, the resume will be considered finalized.
Once shopping the resume, if you do not get a job interview after six months, it is important to understand why — as the resume is NOT the only factor involved. There are many extenuating circumstances such as your job search approach, being over or under qualified for whatever reason or if the position was filled but they have not taken the announcement down, as well as other reasons that have nothing to do with the resume. For example, your competition. It it not feasible for either one of us to fix a resume that is not broken, so it is important to identify whether it is the resume or something else. Again, how saturated the market is at the time, if they hired someone else – even internally, if you are qualified, or other circumstances. For example, your career path not what they require or if are transitioning to a position that your competition has several years experience in a certain area. Even the strongest with all the right elements e.g. branding, keywords, messaging, backstory, and accomplishments might not measure up if they are looking for something you do not have, e.g. a credential, level of experience, or preferred career path (not a complete transition) it would be beyond the scope of the resume. It is too easy to blame it on the resume. However, I’m am here to help you identify what that might be and to help you overcome those hurdles.
